How can we know God? What does it mean to know God? How can we be "right" with Him? Can we enjoy him for ever? Look at this brief article on the theme. But browse through other websites - many Christian sites seek to explain, in a simple way, what it means to become a Christian.
You may have lots of questions about the Christian Faith and the Christian life. If so, there is a website called "Got Questions" that is well-worth a visit. The site boasts of "110,152 Bible Questions Answered!". That is probably true! Type in your question, find answers all with Bible references.
We are pleased to say that not long ago we ran Christianity Explored at the Church - a video series hosted by Dr Paul Blackham of All Souls Church, Langham Place, London.
There were ten lessons in the course altogether. The small room and the big screen (along with a cup of tea or coffee) made for a very comfortable and enjoyable time together.
We kept three things in mind throughout the course
The emphasis was on informality.
Each night we began with a snack, and each night we concentrated on another aspect of Christianity. It was for many an important time of exploration.
We have also had some follow-up Bible Study courses - each belonging to the "Book by Book" series. This video series is also produced by All Souls Church in London. Richard Bewes interviews different Christian leaders for different Bible books. So far we have looked at Jonah, First Peter, First and Second Thessalonians and Galatians. All were short course - just six weeks each - and all were excellent. No one was compelled to speak: all could feel free to sit and look and listen - and think long thoughts.
Recently we began to feel that the time is right to leave these course and try something different. We are now in the process of studying Philip Yancy's Video "What's so amazing about Grace".This is based on the book of the same name, a book that many consider to be a modern classic. The course is just half way through at present. It will resume in a few weeks time.
